CreditRage -6- Admitting The Debt

All,

One of the worst things you can do when facing a debt collector is admitting the debt. You could blunder and do this many ways.

Besides the obvious, you could do this by working out a settlement with a debt collector. If you don’t owe the debt what are you making arrangements to pay it for?

Another time that people will admit the debt is when they are in court. Listen to this podcast to hear a simple way to not admit the debt in court.

Always remember that if you are suing a collection company for violations of the FDCPA, FCRA or TCPA there is no issue about the debt. The alleged debt’s existence, terms and balance are not part of the complaint. Collectors will try to get you off course by arguing about the debt. Don’t buy into that.

Lastly, I wanted to mention to never lie in court. I don’t advocate lying and I wont lie in court. The fact is you can win without lying.
